While orthopedic, cardiac, neuro and general surgeries make up the bulk of our referrals, it is true to say that there are virtually no surgical procedures which we cannot access for our clients. If you, or a loved one, need any of the procedures in this section, we can help.

Gynecological Procedures

While some gynecological procedures can be in the urgent or emergent category, many others aren’t life threatening or even painful. But they can be embarrassing and can affect the spontaneity of interpersonal relationships. Our public healthcare system, dealing as it does with rationing, is seldom able to provide timely treatment for these conditions when people with life threatening conditions are themselves on a long waiting lists.
There is no rationing in the private healthcare system however. We can expedite these procedures in one or two weeks in most cases.

Urological Procedures

Urologic surgeons deal with a wide range of medical conditions, ranging from kidney disease or cancer, to enlarged or cancerous prostate glands, to incontinence. One of the most sought after treatments amongst our clients is lithotripsy. There are more lithotripter machines in Turkey than there are in Canada. If you are suffering with kidney stones, even one extra day of excruciating pain is too long to wait. We can expedite these and other urological procedures – generally within days.

Plastic Surgery

Plastic surgery has two focuses – cosmetic and reconstructive. While cosmetic surgery is readily available in most parts of the country with minimal waiting, we at Timely Medical Alternatives are often consulted as to the source of the best surgeons in this area. The cosmetic plastic surgeons to whom we refer, all have impeccable credentials.
Reconstructive plastic surgery can range from correction of congenital defects, repairs to damage caused by trauma or burns, to complete body lifts following weight loss surgery.

Biopsies

Biopsies are the most definitive way to diagnose malignancies – more so than diagnostic imaging (including PET scans). We are able to expedite most types of biopsy and, in many cases, can reduce the time to provide a pathological report on the tissue sample from 14 days to 48 hours. In the public system in Canada, a wait of 14 days for pathology results is by no means unusual. The stress associated with such a wait can be significant.

Bariatric Surgery

Bariatric or weight loss surgery takes 2 main forms – gastric by-pass surgery and lap-band surgery. For those who are unable to return to their proper weight level through dieting and exercise, these procedures can be, literally, life saving. Both procedures are available privately, in Canada.

Headaches/Migraines

Traditionally, headaches are treated with medication. When drugs are ineffective, there are other techniques which are available. We have negotiated discounted fees for our clients, at a facility in New Jersey, which reports a 90% success rate in completely eliminating head, facial, jaw, tongue, and chronic throat pain. Patients whose symptoms are compatible with the treatments offered at this facility, can begin their treatments almost immediately.
